
School Counselors are a vital component in student success. Ms. Allison Armstrong, LPCC provides support in academic achievement, personal and social development, along with career development. This is achieved through her comprehensive guidance curriculum and support services offered.

Ms. Armstrong works closely with parents and teachers to support students in a variety of situations.
Services Offered
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is a brief one-on-one session between Ms. Armstrong and the student in which they work together on a problem. All sessions are confidential; however, students are encouraged to talk with their parents/guardians about their visit. In cases where the child’s safety or mental health may be at risk, Ms. Armstrong will contact the family directly to discuss concerns.

*Ms. Armstrong provides brief counseling services (not on-going), and does not provide therapy. She may recommend outside services as needed.
Classroom Guidance Lessons
Ms. Armstrong teaches guidance lessons monthly or semi-monthly to grades K-8 on various topics. Lessons focus on social skills, bullying prevention, diversity, tolerance, character education, careers, empathy, kindness, problem solving, conflict resolution, study skills, friendship skills, goal setting, personal safety, and substance abuse prevention.
Small Group Counseling
Small group counseling consists of two or more students who are working toward a common goal. Referrals from teachers, parents, and students are used to determine the need for small groups.
