School Counselors are a vital component in student success. Mrs. Sarah Eaton provides support in academic achievement, personal and social development, along with career development. This is achieved through her comprehensive guidance curriculum and support services offered.
Mrs. Eaton works closely with parents and teachers to support students in a variety of situations.
Individual counseling is a brief one-on-one session between Mrs. Eaton and the student in which they work together on a problem. All sessions are confidential; however, students are encouraged to talk with their parents/guardians about their visit. In cases where the child’s safety or mental health may be at risk, Mrs. Eaton will contact the family directly to discuss concerns.
Possible reasons for individual counseling:
- Conflict resolution
- Communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Problem solving
- Decision making skills
*Mrs. Eaton provides brief counseling services (not on-going), and does not provide therapy. She may recommend outside services as needed.
